- Seamless vs sectionalSeamless aluminum is formed on site to your exact lengths, so it has fewer joints to leak. Vinyl sections are cheaper and easier to DIY.

Seamless aluminum gutters commonly last 20 years or more with regular cleaning. Copper can last much longer.
Are gutter guards worth it?
Guards reduce how often you clean gutters, especially under trees. They don't eliminate maintenance entirely.

Measure every roof edge that needs a gutter, then add the height of each downspout run from the gutter to the ground.
